I love dogs. I had a dog once and she passed away.

This project is designed to help people get to know the surrendered pets at the local pet shelters to improve the chance of them being adopted. Before seeing the pet in person, people will learn about what their future pet’s look, behavior, or medical history. This will provide a second hope for the surrendered pets as they all deserve a home.

Problem:

During the pandemic, animal shelters saw a record number of adoptions, and that people who now are getting back to the office and taking much-await vacations are giving up their pandemic pets.

Sad and Alarming statistics:

The statistics of animals in and out SFACC from 2018 to 2021 can see the decrease in the number of adopted animal and increase in the number of surrendering pets.

The pawfecthope Campaign

Learn First Adopt Later

pawfecthope is an interactive campaign for Hope for Paws. The campaign mission is to provide a second hope for pandemic surrendered pets. The campaign will help educate the public about the local pet-sheltered lives and increase the chance they can be adopted again.

Inspired by the bright and positive colors and images from pets who mean everything to their owners

Logo Development

Sketching out different logos by using different types, icons and colors. It was hard for me to choose one or two line logo. In the end I choose one line logo because I want the logo as one word

In the final logo, I use the paw icon become the bridge that connects the two words together. This will help improve readability as well as become its own logo

Styletiles

Exploring different styletiles is a fun and helpful experience because it gives me visual direction for the style

The final styletile is the combination of Energetic, Neutral and Contrast elements that promote hope, pure happiness and unconditional love. Also, this will be a kiosk dashboard, I decide to use high contrast style to help engage more users

Focusing on the pains and goals of the users to create the most useful features

The main screens allow users to check for available local pets. They can learn about them first before deciding to adopt later
